I’ve been digging into classic Britpop lately. Blur, Damon Albarn’s band from the ’90s & arch-rival of Oasis (until lately, that is) are best known stateside (if not only known) for “Song 2”, an instant classic. “Parklife” is quintessentially British, with Phil Daniels (from the movie Quadrophenia) doing the spoken-word verses.
