CA: 40% of Driver’s Licenses in 2015 Went to Illegals

From the State That is the Future of America:

The passage of California’s Assembly Bill 60 allowed undocumented immigrants to pursue driver’s licenses beginning on January 2 of 2015. In the next year, 830,000 people applied for licensing under the new law. 605,000 got a license. That’s 40% of the licenses that were issued in California last year.

According to The Orange County Registerthe state hired 1000 temporary employees, extended Department of Motor Vehicles buildings’ business hours, and opened new locations where immigrants could file for a license. It was just enough to accommodate the portion of the 2.4 million undocumented immigrants that sought licenses.

Si! Se puede!
