Fiddler vs. The Rothschilds

In Takimag, Steve Sailer has an excellent essay on various misconceptions surrounding Jewish history in Europe (“Mythos and Blood“).

That history is less Fiddler on the Roof (well-known musical by Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock) and more The Rothschilds (little-known musical by Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock.)

Hint: “If I Were A Rich Man” was originally titled “If I Were a Rothschild.”
