After several days of soul-crushingly, bad, bad news (as reflected in the posts below), this story made my day. With an ego and unbridled ambition that simply will not allow time alone to heal his reputation, Weiner makes an obvious attempt to preempt further embarrassing evidence he knows is probably (“I’m not sure, honey… But there might be…”) still out there. (It’s a case of premature… ah, it’s too easy.)
