So, at around 8:30 pm EST, which is TV primetime, the Democrats put 9 “Mothers of the Movement” (i.e., black mothers with dead kids) on stage. In other words, HC is serving up BLM to the American electorate, front and center.
Among them were the mothers of Trayvonn Martin, Sandra Bland and Michael Brown.
The arena erupted into loud cheers of “Black Lives Matter!”
“I am here with Hillary Clinton because she is a leader and a mother who will say our children’s name,” said Geneva Reed-Veal, Sandra Bland’s mother.
Cameras caught a myriad of blacks and young white college kids crying or otherwise expressing their emotions.
A little refresher:
- Trayvonn Martin: Trayvonn wasn’t killed by the po-lice, but by “white Hispanic” George Zimmerman. A jury eventually acquitted Zimmerman of all charges.
- Sandra Bland: She wasn’t a victim of the po-lice either, but hung herself in her jail cell. The medical examiner ruled Bland’s death a suicide. A grand jury opted not to indict jail personnel in connection with Bland’s death.
- Michael Brown: Shortly after strong-arming a convenience store owner and stealing some cigars (all captured on video), the ‘Gentle Giant’, with a giant dollop of attitude, was walking in the middle of the street. A cop told him to move. As Obama’s army of DOJ investigators later reported, 5 witnesses said Brown charged the policeman in his car, then reached into the car and tried to get the cop’s gun. The policeman was totally exonerated.
This is who one of the two main political parties in the United States decides to treat as martyrs of sorts, as ‘victims’ of institutional racism, etc.
We are in strange times.
