This one has been going down nicely now that spring is here. There’s a million variations, but with sage already in season, this is the combo I’ve taken a liking to:
- 3 pts. Kentucky Bourbon
- 1 pt. grapefruit juice
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- ½ teaspoon sage simple syrup
Simple Syrup: Mix ½ cup water with ½ sugar (or sugar substitute), add 2 sage leaves, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
Serve in bourbon glass, over ice.
