Gorka’s Warning

From Sebastian Gorka’s resignation letter (or ‘post-firing’ letter, whichever you prefer):

[G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House… As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the People’s House…

Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will ‘Make America Great Again,’ have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week…

The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost…

Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.

Bannon and Gorka out.

Kushner, Cohn, and Ivanka still standing.

Imagine that.

How long before Sessions exits? We can certainly presume Javanka and Cohn are pressing for his ouster.

Dreher on ‘Iconoclasm And Violence’

Is Rod Dreher beginning to get based?

This morning I picked up a book from my shelves that I haven’t looked at since it came out in 2004: the late political scientist Samuel Huntington’s Who Are We? The Challenges To America’s National Identity. It was startling to read Huntington in light of recent events, including most of all the Trump election. It was even more startling — and deeply dismaying — to read Huntington and consider that the odious white nationalists might have a clearer understanding of what’s going on now than respectable people. ..

Whites, in sum, will start to act like any other ethnic or racial group in America. I have to confess that reading Huntington makes me question the (yes, liberal) media narrative on this new battlefront in the culture wars. Broadly speaking, the media construe the conflict as racist whites reacting to minority progress. No doubt there’s truth to that, but that is not the whole truth, or even most of the truth.

I read Dreher because he may be a good case study in how a protyptical ‘Christian humanist’ (e.g. pathological altruism, refusal to see race as a salient factor, let alone the central factor) may begin to get red-pilled as the evidence starts to pile up against his pious axioms.

[Huntington] says that historically, American identity has involved four key components: Race, Ethnicity, Culture (especially language and religion), and Ideology. Race and ethnicity as a defining core of nation is long gone.

Race and ethnicity are not long gone. This country was 90% white and Christian until 1965, which is the vast majority of America’s existence. If, ala Huntington, you consider the pre-1776 early settlements and colonies (which goes as far back as the late 1500s), then you are talking 380 years of America being a predominately white Christian country. That the U.S. has been a relatively racially homogenous nation was a self-evident and uncontroversial fact, and allowed norms and a trust-based society to evolve and make America a powerhouse.

It has only been since 1965 that the traditional racial balance of the U.S. (which had a rational immigration bias towards Europeans) has been completely upended. Lower IQ, high-fertility immigrants from the Third World now comprise the vast majority of U.S. (and European) immigration. This upending is what has led to the crisis we’re in. No matter which way you look at it, whether here in the U.S. or in any other country, race matters. Not only does it ‘matter’, but it is quite likely the most central aspect of the whole dynamic.

The PBS/Marist poll that Dreher cites shows that 60% of blacks believe the Confederate statues should remain. Think about that. It doesn’t square with The Narrative, namely, that ALL blacks monolithically see the very name “Lee” and shudder in horror. The people driving the ‘tear down the statues!’ hysteria are primarily young, spoiled, self-loathing, virtue-signaling, progressive whites from Superzips, people taught at their colleges that whiteness is evil and oppression incarnate. Newer generations of white kids will increasingly rebel against this P.C. “drowning in the tears of white guilt” debasement.

George Hawley on Alt-Right’s Generation Z Component

George Hawley, assistant professor of political science at the University of Alabama, is the author of important books such as Right-Wing Critics of American Conservatism, White Voters in 21st Century America, and his forthcoming Making Sense of the Alt-Right.

Today in TAC, he has a piece on how “The Alt-Right Is Not Who You Think They Are”. He emphasizes the youthful Generation Z aspect of the movement:

In my experience with the alt-right, I encountered a surprisingly common narrative: Alt-right supporters did not, for the most part, come from overtly racist families. Alt-right media platforms have actually been pushing this meme aggressively in recent months. Far from defending the ideas and institutions they inherited, the alt-right—which is overwhelmingly a movement of white millennials—forcefully condemns their parents’ generation. They do so because they do not believe their parents are racist enough.

In an inverse of the left-wing protest movements of the 1960s, the youthful alt-right bitterly lambast the “boomers” for their lack of explicit ethnocentrism, their rejection of patriarchy, and their failure to maintain America’s old demographic characteristics and racial hierarchy. In the alt-right’s vision, even older conservatives are useless “cucks” who focus on tax policies and forcefully deny that they are driven by racial animus…

The notion that youthful rebellion necessarily leads young people to the left is an additional blind spot in mainstream thinking. To begin with, it is ahistorical. In the early 20th century we saw multiple transgressive movements on the right. Furthermore, as radical leftists of the baby boom generation assumed important positions in politics, academia, and the media, it should not have been shocking to see millennials with a contrarian streak respond by taking embracing right-wing radicalism. Not all such young people, of course, but enough to make waves.

Another good point is seeing the radicalization of the Alt Right as an equal and opposite reaction to Totalitarian Leftism that dominates the college campus:

[M]any people in the alt-right were radicalized while in college. Not only that, but the efforts to inoculate the next generation of America’s social and economic leaders against racism were, in some cases, a catalyst for racist radicalization. Although academic seminars that explain the reality of white privilege may reduce feelings of prejudice among most young whites exposed to them, they have the opposite effect on other young whites. At this point we do not know what percentage of white college students react in such a way, but the number is high enough to warrant additional study.

The Camus-Sartre Split

It’s interesting how the Camus-Sartre split — with Sartre the ardent communist condoning violence in the interests of a communist utopia, and Camus the socialist skeptic of communism – parallels what’s going on today, where totalitarian Antifa anti-globalists parallel Sartre, and paleo anti-globalists paralleling Camus.

Defamation (2009)

On various sites, I’d been seeing repeated mentions of this relatively recent documentary, so I decided to check it out. (It’s available online in its entirety; see below.)

From the film’s description:

Intent on shaking up the ultimate ‘sacred cow’ for Jews, Israeli director Yoav Shamir embarks on a provocative – and at times irreverent – quest to answer the question, “What is anti-Semitism today?” Does it remain a dangerous and immediate threat? Or is it a scare tactic used by right-wing Zionists to discredit their critics? Speaking with an array of people from across the political spectrum (including the head of the Anti-Defamation League and its fiercest critic, author Norman Finkelstein) and traveling to places like Auschwitz (alongside Israeli school kids) and Brooklyn (to explore reports of violence against Jews), Shamir discovers the realities of anti-Semitism today. His findings are shocking, enlightening and – surprisingly – often wryly funny.

Bottom Line: The film is an excellent documentary, a must-see for anyone wanting to understand the prevailing, and disproportionately influential, Jewish consciousness of victimhood. A great red-pilling sequence is to have your Normie friends watch this documentary, and then read KMac’s trilogy (in reverse), beginning with The Culture of Critique.

Made by Yoav Shamir, an Israeli documentary filmmaker, Defamation beautifully illustrates, simply by revealing and letting the interviewees talk, the extraordinary levels of Jewish paranoia that appears to be the norm in powerful, elite Jewish circles.

Several of the segments where Shamir is allowed to follow the ADL’s Abe Foxman are jaw-dropping. The degrees of emotional manipulation, hostility to gentiles, and equal hostility to anyone who criticizes his paranoia-infused worldview are put on full display, with no commentary needed. According to Foxman and his ilk, anti-Semites are behind every tree, and Shamir ably reveals the absurdity of this collective worldview. (For instance, the ADL has famously asserted that 25% of the world is ‘anti-Semitic’, an assertion which obviously utilizes an absurdly wide and loose definition of ‘anti-Semitism’).

Among his other interviewees are Norman Finkelstein, now a shunned pariah among his fellow Jews, and John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, whose study The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy caused quite an uproar among the Tribe.

Greg Johnson has a more detailed review here.

Virility

The idea of a Jewish writer for The New Yorker discussing virility is rather funny. The photo that accompanies the piece – a photo of Russell Crowe from Gladiator – makes it even funnier:

The concept’s misogyny, of course, is more pronounced. Virility is a misogynistic ideal in an obvious way—historically and etymologically, it’s tied to the idea of male superiority.

You get the idea.

Young White Men

Rod Dreher, who has been wrong about so much of late, has a good post (comprised primarily of thoughtful reader comments) titled “Young Men, Faith, & Fascism”.

The gist of the piece surrounds attempts to understand why young white men are becoming attracted to the ‘Alt Right’, which Dreher and Company assume means ‘fascism’.

My thoughts on it are to forget the ‘Alt Right’ label. Boxing a wide array of non-liberal white men (and white women) into this increasingly useless category will get you nowhere in terms of understanding what is going on. The entire Left, and too many on the Right, have equated ‘Alt Right’ with ‘white supremacism’, ‘white nationalism’ or just as often ‘neo-Nazism’. This is misguided. Were there neo-Nazi LARP-ers at the C-ville rally? Yes there were. But they were greatly outnumbered by what we’d more accurately call young paleocons, seeking to preserve something. The views of the ‘Alt Right’ were the mainstream political views (across the political spectrum) just 50 or so years ago. Think about that.

There is a distinction between ‘white supremacism’ and ‘white identitarianism’, the latter simply being a form of identity politics, which is celebrated by every other demographic group in existence, not just in America but around the world. Such identity politics is a hard truth of history, always has and always will be. To not acknowledge this evolutionary group strategy element as being a fundamental part of human existence (e.g., social identity theory), to be the one ethnicity who pretends it does *not* exist or that it can be magically ‘transcended’ if we all just hold hands and try really hard, is a form of self-abasement and pathological altruism never before seen in human history.

When Trump’s Warsaw speech, a generic defense of ‘the West’ and all it has accomplished, is characterized by mainstream liberal pundits as coded ‘white supremacism’, this should tell you how far down the rabbit hole our P.C. culture has gone.

Using myself as an example: I am proud of the unique heritage of the West. This should be uncontroversial. I am also white. This too should be uncontroversial. Furthermore, it is an empirical fact that, from the ancient Greeks onward, ‘the West’ was built, nurtured, and (until the mid-1960s) demographically dominated by what we would call ‘whites’. To point this fact out should be uncontroversial. And yet when these points are collectively layered together, they suddenly become ‘controversial.’

Syllogistically, I can say that I am proud of my (empirically white) ancestors, which makes me the possessor of (gasp!) “white pride”.  It is this element of syllogistic logic that smart young white kids are beginning to grasp.

And when the mainstream culture tells them they are awful racists for feeling that way, from grasping syllogisms like that, these young white kids rebel. They react against these Orwellian tropes from The Cathedral by flipping a middle finger, experiencing the joys trolling (one of their only available outlets), and deliberately saying things to offend delicate sensibilities.

It is these white kids who are the counterculture now.

They refuse to hate themselves, their heritage and their race.

The Reputation of an Aryan Goddess

Given how some corners of the Alt Right online subculture have pushed the fabulous, all-encompassing meme of Taylor Swift as an Aryan Goddess, the Reich-y font of her upcoming album will do nothing to dissuade that meme.

ESPN Pulls Announcer Robert Lee From VA Game Because of His Name

No, this is not a piece from The Onion, nor is today April 1st. But it is reality, in AmeriKKKa 2017:

ESPN has removed an announcer from its broadcast of the University of Virginia’s first football game next month because he has the same name as a Confederate general memorialized in statues that are being taken down across the country.

The network announced late Tuesday that the announcer, Robert Lee, a part-time employee who calls about a dozen college football and basketball games a year for ESPN, would no longer participate in the broadcast of the Sept. 2 game in Charlottesville, Va., which became the center of violent clashes this month during a white supremacist gathering.

A triple level of irony here is that broadcaster Robert Lee is Aasian-American.
