“Today, on the 12th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, we remember and mourn the innocent who were lost in this horrific act. I stand with my fellow New Yorkers in honoring and thanking the first responders and the men and women of our military who risked their lives in the aftermath, demonstrating the true meaning of selflessness and resilience. In the wake of the attacks, we looked past our differences and showed what the true American spirit is all about. Today, I hope that we can look back on that moment and pledge to do our best to work together in the spirit of bipartisanship to move our country forward.”
