The piece is written by, ahem, Sander Gilman, a psychiatry professor at Emory University.
That U.S. House candidate Paul Nehlen is an anti-Semite is not surprising. That the Wisconsin Republican, trounced by House Speaker Paul Ryan in 2016, was outed by puffing the retired psychologist Kevin MacDonald’s latest bit of pseudoscience, The Culture of Critique, shouldn’t be either.
Gilman also saves Newsweek readers the trouble of laying out Kmac’s theses in an intellectually honest fashion. “There is little need to explore MacDonald’s rather dreary work,” Gilman writes. Phew! That doubly-means I don’t need to read CoC.
In 2005, Gregory Cochran, Jason Hardy and Henry Harpending—anthropologists at the University of Utah—made quite a splash with a study suggesting that superior Jewish intelligence was the inadvertent result of “inbreeding,” and was balanced by Jewish genetic diseases.
Jews as they appear in this world of pseudoscience are an invented group of ill, stupid or stupidly smart people who use science to their own nefarious ends. Other groups, too, are painted similarly in “race science,” as it used to call itself: African-Americans, the Irish, the Chinese and, well, any and all groups that you want to prove inferior to yourself.
Sadly, such pseudoscience is crude and transparent.

Regarding the new study in Germany, a few interesting and very salient tidbits from it:
BERLIN (AP) — The recent influx of mostly young, male migrants into Germany has led to an increase in violent crime in the country, according to a government-funded study published Wednesday…
The authors concluded that 92 percent of the additional crimes recorded could be attributed to the increase in refugee numbers.
The study, led by prominent criminologist Christian Pfeiffer and published by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, says most of the refugees came to Germany from Muslim countries that are “characterized by male dominance” and an acceptance of a “macho culture” that can justify violence.
The lack of women among Germany’s refugee population is also seen as an aggravating factor.
So, regarding this last point, what does the paper then conclude?
“This makes it more likely for groups of young men to emerge among the refugees and they can develop a violent dynamic of their own,” the authors wrote, concluding that it makes sense to allow refugees to bring over their families.
But, of course!

In reporting worthy of Rolling Stone, Chang talks to ‘Ava’:
… Ava, a young female entrepreneur, rolls her eyes. According to Ava, who asked me to disguise her real identity and has dated several founders, it’s the men, not the women, who seem obsessed with displays of wealth and privilege. She tells of being flown to exotic locations, put up in fancy hotels, and other ways rich men have used their money to woo her. Backing up Ava’s view are the profiles one finds on dating apps where men routinely brag about their tech jobs or start-ups. In their online profiles, men are all but saying, “Hello, would you like to come up to my loft and see my stock options?”…
Ava, who has dated several founders, allowed them to fly her to exotic locations and put her up in fancy hotels, had no idea what the game plan here was. She was just a naive babe in the woods… taken advantage of by unscrupulous cishet men. Apparently, “no thank you” is not in her vocabulary. In any event, she seems like a perfectly reliable source for objective information for this story.
Ava was working as an executive assistant at Google when she ran into her married boss at a bondage club in San Francisco. He was getting a blow job from a woman strapped to a spanking bench who was being entered by another man from behind.
Ava must’ve been looking for a hip new yoga studio and innocently stumbled into a bondage club. But don’t make any assumptions about her from this fact, you slut-shamer!
Ava and her boss, an engineer, locked eyes but didn’t exchange a word and never spoke of the encounter again. However, a few months later, at a Google off-site event, another married male colleague approached her. “He hits on me, and I was like, What are you doing? Don’t touch me. Who are you again? He was like, I know who you are. The other guys said you like all this stuff.” Someone had outed Ava. She quit working at Google shortly thereafter.

“The grand jury room looks like a Bernie Sanders rally,” my source said. “Maybe they found these jurors in central casting, or at a Black Lives Matter rally in Berkeley [Calif.]”
Of the 20 jurors, 11 are African-Americans and two were wearing “peace T-shirts,” the witness said. “There was only one white male in the room, and he was a prosecutor.”

Gene Simmons has revealed why KISS decided not to sue Bruce Springsteen over The Boss’s 2009 song “Outlaw Pete”, which contains a chorus that is somehwhat similar to that of the band’s 1979 hit “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”.
“KISS have sued lots of people [for plagiarism] and won,” Simmons told The Guardian. “But some people we don’t sue. We didn’t sue Bruce Springsteen for ‘Outlaw Pete’. How do we decide who to sue and who not to? We like Springsteen. We don’t sue.”
